Vision Statement forDundee Highlands School The vision of Dundee Highlands Elementary School that we are committed to providing a safe educational environment promoting open communication and home-school-community partnerships. This environment is based on a rich variety of experiences, which will enhance character development, maximize each individual’s potential, and encourage the pursuit of excellence.

My Personal Vision For Dundee Highlands To have the best school in the state of Illinois.   I want… • Teachers to know what is expected of them • Teachers to know the standards and curriculum • Teachers to know how children learn • Teachers to know best practices in education • Teachers to put children first, always • Teachers to communicate with each other • Teachers to communicate with parents often • Teachers to learn from each other • Teachers to try new things • Teachers to think outside the box • Teachers to love kids, all kids • Teachers to communicate with me their needs and fears • To have fun with this staff • To reward staff members for good work • To Motivate children to be their best

  3. All visitors are monitored. All school doors are locked at 8:30a.m. All visitors sign in and sign out and receive a visitors badge. Students must proceed through the school office when arriving late or leaving early. Parent/Guardian signature required. Fire, Inclement Weather, Code Red drills practiced throughout the course of the year. Safety

  5. Transportation • Children may not go home on a different bus for any reason. • First few days may take longer to drop off students – Thanks for your patience! • Have an adult at the bus stop to collect your child • No child off the bus? Stop the bus and ask
