  2. Aim of today’s session • Introduce the global citizenship unit, and explore the impacts of unequal power and wealth on individuals and the global community.

Objectives of today’s session After today’s session you should: • Know what is meant by the terms Global Community and Global Citizenship. • Know what the parts of the global food system are and how they relate to each other. • know about unfairness in the global food system and that unequal power and wealth affect the ability of individuals in the global community to grow and eat food.

  4. Objectives of today’s session After today’s session you should: • Understand that humans, plants and animals in the global community are all interdependent. • Know that power can be used in positive ways by governments and campaigners to improve the food system, by doing things such as supporting small-scale farmers financially.
