KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF RWS SECTION • Formulation of Master Database by collection, verification, revision, addition and improvements to existing CBO WASH data. • Assistance beyond CBO/ PS Managed Pipe-borne Schemes technically and socially. • Awareness to CBOs for implementation of National Water Quality Surveillance Programme (adapted water supply plans) • Advice on diversification of CBO activities • Strengthen District RWS Units • Reorientation of RWS staff to identify and address real requirements of the sector • Promotion of hygienically improved sanitation options • Research and development of low cost appropriate technologies
