Moore’s Law Will End,with No Economical Replacement • Computing ⇒ cheaper, not faster (per proc) • Democratization of some HPC • Traditional full-function PC will have integrated high-end graphics • At least TFLOPS (SP) on your lap • (for some value of “lap”) • Cellphone/laptop; or Yotta-cloud/fog/vapor • Nothing in between, as far as you can tell • Charged not by rack or proc, but by KWH • And possibly bandwidth.
