Eliminate non-value added activities, work in smaller batches (one-piece flow) Quality Ownership/Error Proofing. Stop defects from being passed to next operation or prevent them from occurring Load Balancing. Balance capacity across operations to match customer demand Load Leveling. Ensure workloads are balanced across operators Segment Complexity. Separate work into simpler, more manageable tasks to improve flexibility/work load balance Used with permission.
