Exploring Eyesight Changes with Age - A Study by ASHS Students

This PowerPoint presentation by Aidan Andrews, Lin Aung, and Rebekkah Jacks from Australind Senior High School aims to investigate how eyesight changes as we age. The study focuses on testing eyesight in different age groups ranging from Year 8 to Year 12 students. The group conducted a test involving reading progressively smaller letters to determine eyesight quality and included a hidden message. The presentation includes graphs to showcase the results and concludes with an assessment of the project's strengths and weaknesses, expressing hope for a successful outcome.

  1. What Happens As We Age – Eyesight and Flexibility A PowerPoint presentation from Australind Senior High School (ASHS) By Aidan Andrews, Lin Aung and Rebekkah Jacks

  2. Aim • To choose a type of test from multiple test choices in order to collect either first or second-hand data. Our group chose “What Happens As We Age”. We have chosen to test eyesight within certain age groups, from the ages of High School Students.

  3. Age Groups • We have five age groups for this test. They are: • Year 8 • Year 9 • Year 10 • Year 11 • Year 12

  4. Eyesight • For eyesight, we decided to see how much of the letters that goes from big to really small to see if they could read, and possibly see the hidden message, which was “IF YOU CAN READ THIS YOU HAVE REALLY GOOD EYESIGHT”

  5. Graphs

  6. Conclusion I think our group did pretty well for this project. We had our weaknesses and strengths but we managed to overcome our weaknesses. In summary I think we did well and we hope to win 1st prize! The End
