  2. When and Where The 2002 FIFA world cup was held in Japan and South Korea from 31st May – 30th June.

  3. Finalists The finalists were Brazil and Germany, and Turkey and South Korea. 1st : BRAZIL 2nd: GERMANY 3rd :TURKEY 4th : South Korea Finals: Brazil vs. Germany 2-0 Third Place: Turkey vs. South Korea 3-2

  4. GOALS!! Brazil vs. Germany 2-0 The first goal in the match came in the second half in the 67th minute by Ronaldo. The second goal came in the 79th minute and was scored by Ronaldo.

Sequence of the Goal! 66’Ronaldo is off the ball and tackles German defender who is on the ball. 66’ Passes the ball to Rivaldo makes a run toward the penalty box 66’ Rivaldo is on the ball and takes a long shot. 66’ Oliver Kahn (German Goalkeeper) blocks the shot but the ball fumbles. 67’ Ronaldo who is off the ball runs up to the to the ball and shoots with his right foot and the ball goes in the goal.

  6. Individual Movements Rivaldo: Rivaldo displayed good on the ball movements by taking the long - shot. Ronaldo: Ronaldo displayed good off the ball movements by tackling the defender who was on the ball and by making good runs. He also displayed a good on the ball movement when he shot the ball in the goal.

  7. Questions: Q- What could the defense have done to more effectively try and stop the goal being scored? A- The defense should have been where the ball was fumbled so they could clear it before Ronaldo got to it and scored. Q- Was there any movement ‘off the ball’ by other attackers to draw defenders away from the goal scorer? If yes, what happened and what was the effect? A- There were not any off the ball movements by the attackers to draw the defenders away from goal scorer.
