  2. QUESTION ? What would happen to society (or our organizations) … if everyone could come together creatively and respectfully … face the big issues … and invent win/win solutions? What issue would this NOT positively affect?

EXAMPLES of how it is happening • In Bregenz, Austria … The mayor is using the CIC process to transcend partisan bickering on HOT waterfront development projects • Within AgAmerica Farm Credit Bank … Management and employees together created a bottom-up shared vision for how the company can become “forward looking”

  4. Five “Social Innovations” make this (and more) possible • CC— “Choice-creating” … The essential creative, collaborative quality of thinking • DF—”Dynamic Facilitation” … A way to assure choice-creating • CIC—”Creative Insight Council” … A way to use DF so the whole system can think together this way • WCP—”Wisdom Council Process” … A way to assure that this large-scale conversation is ongoing …so “we the people” can arise • SB—”Society’s Breakthrough” … To structure the WCP at the national or global level

  5. What’s so special here? The quality of thinking, CHOICE-CREATING … where diverse people address a BIG issue collaboratively and creatively, seeking win/win breakthrough answers 1) Choice-creating is distinct from “dialogue,” “deliberation,” problem-solving,” etc.

  6. “Dynamic Facilitation” assures Choice-creating 2) • People just speak naturally but all comments are valued and incorporated • The DF’er uses four lists • Solutions • Concerns • Data • Problem-statements • “Shifts” and breakthroughs are normal • “Unanimous” conclusions result

CIC: Creative Insight Council … a CC conversation among 3) • First, a symbol of “the People” • Twelve random people • They address a hot issue • Reach unanimous conclusions • Then, involve everyone • The CIC presents to all • Everyone “discusses” the results • Most all support • Then Structure this process into place • Bypasses the usual politics. Now, the whole system can talk creatively together and reach shared conclusions.

WCP: “Wisdom Council Process” 4) • Symbol of “Wethe People” • Twelve random people • They choose the issue • Reach unanimous conclusions • Involving everyone • They present results to the community • The community talks • Most all support the results • Assure web conversation • Change the underlying structure • Charter the WCP • The process is ongoing

  9. SB: “Society’s Breakthrough” 5) Triangle Box Circle The Wisdom Council Process is entirely scalable. It can be used nationally to facilitate “We the People” to take charge … and shift our System from the Box to the Circle.
