  2. Topic 1PERSONAL PRESENTATION Why does this section begin with personal presentation? Before you can learn how to communicate like a professional you need to learn how to present yourself like a professional.

  3. Points to consider • Personal hygiene • Hair style • Face • Jewelry • Tattoos • Body piercing • Hands • Uniform • Shoes • Tools.

  4. PERSONAL PRESENTATION • Personal hygiene Personal hygiene is of the most importance. Take a shower every morning, wash your hair every morning and use a light deodorant under the arms. • Hair style Your hair should be cut and groomed in a conservative style. Do not use bright colors. Hair should be above the collar and ears, and away from the face. If you have long hair you must tie it up for safety reasons. • Face If you are male your face must be clean shaven. If you are female you should wear light makeup and only a delicate, fresh perfume; no strong fragrances.

  5. PERSONAL PRESENTATION(continuous) • Jewelry wedding ring is allowed. • Tattoos You may not have visible tattoos. • Body piercing If you have piercing in your face or tongue you must remove the studs before going to work. • Hands Your hands must be absolutely clean.

PERSONAL PRESENTATION(continuous) • Uniform • clean and well ironed, black socks. • Name badges • Name badges are considered part of the uniform • Shoes • Your shoes should be made of leather and must be closed at the toes and heels.
