Recently we posted A Home Buyer’s Guide When Purchasing A Bank Owned Property, in it we offered a series of tips for your home buyer on what items to consider when addressing their renovations. I’d like to share with you an FHA 203K Appraisal we recently had completed for a Home Buyer who made an offer on the home in Shreveport. The property has some minor structural issues in the bathroom and needs repair, but everything else is cosmetic. That renovations is estimated at just under $30,000 and an offer was accepted for $84,800. We will be closing the loan with an FHA 203K Renovation Loan, that finances 96.5% of the purchase price; repairs and all of the home buyer closing cost. In today’s market we are offering 30 Year Term Financing well under 5% and the Home Buyer’s total move in cost is just over $6000. A common occurrence when purchasing a Bank Owned Property is Home Buyers not only get the home they want, but can remodel to meet their own distinguishing taste.
