Objection procedure • Types of objection: • To placement in new position: e.g. not in accordance with placing procedure, not placed in the correct job • Other concerns (not objections to placement) • About travel time and cost compensation & working arrangements: will be addressed separately and with new manager • Generally about the reorganization: refer to Institute Council • Submit by Monday 8th April at the latest • In writing addressed to Paul v/d Kieboom, copy to DRR (can also be email) receipt will be confirmed

Objection procedure • Description of procedure and ISS decision tree on website: www. iss.nl/reorgplan2013 (Dutch & English) • Placement objections will be presented to Placing Advice Committee who did pre-placement • Committee: secretary Paul v/d Kieboom • Committee: advisors - Imke Frijters (SSC) - Renée de Louw • Members: Mr. W. Hutten (independent) Ms. L. Jillisen (SSC rep) Prof. I. van Staveren (ISS rep)

Objection • People whose objections are discussed in the committee will be invited to talk with the committee • Likely date April 18th (to be confirmed) • Committee prepares advice for the EUR Executive Board who takes final decision • Definitive placement letter in June if reorganisation plan approved • Individual can then make formal appeal • Other objections: • discussions with IB, with SSC management • With respect to the proposed new organization – to be discussed also with IC • Travel time and extra costs will be first discussed individually • There is no standard policy within the EUR social plan, any changes to this wouldneed agreement of trade unions, applies for all EUR reorganisations

Placement procedure • Comparison current position according to UFO profile with new positions according to UFO profile • Current UFO profile can be provided by HR @ ISS • UFO profile as confirmed in writing by ISS and must describe current tasks • Aim for best match possible – not always 100%, some jobs split up • Decision tree

  7. Social plan and vacancies • Social plan applies • For those who have not yet been placed, this means they have access to provisions of the Social plan as ‘re-employment candidates’ even though there will be no compulsory redundancies e.g. gives priority with vacancies • Vacancies • List of positions which are not filled available • Not yet vacancies: will be released only after a review of the objections to placements. Will be announced : not earlier than 2 week in April • All may apply, re-employment candidates have priority…otherwise normal vacancy (permanent and temporary staff can apply – no specific priority)
