Studying Livelihood Diversification... • Units of study (household, minimum 10 in each category) • Small / marginal / big farmers / villagers (either on the basis of land holding or on the basis of wealth ranking) • Identify the various livelihood activities of the household • Identify the contribution of each livelihood activity in total household income • Study the change in the livelihood activities (portfolio) of the household in last five years

Studying Livelihood Diversification... • Identifying important mediating factors and their roles and effects on the livelihood change • What were their risks and respective coping mechanisms • Study the change in the assets of the household in last five years • Sustainability of existing livelihood (risks and vulnerability level)
