  2. Who will I be mentoring? • Susie Kinlacheeny. I’ve worked with her as my TA for couple years.

  3. How do I establish a working relationship with the person(s) I will mentor ? • I will make initial contact a week before the first day of school and daily contact thereafter. We will discuss goals and objectives for units and lessons.

  4. Who else will be working with the same people? • University student-teaching staff • The school principal • Other teachers • Students • Other site personnel • Special Education Dept. staff

  5. How do I get in touch and keep in touch with these people?  • In person • By phone • Email

  6. Who can help with instructional issues? • Myself • Principal • Teachers

  7. . What technology and technological resources are available at my site? For me? For the person(s) I mentor? • McGraw-Hill Reading series • reading counts: SRA, SRI • The mobile units from the computer lab or library

  8. Who can help with technology issues? • ETIP • Mr. Johns • Mr. Wooll • Ms. Merrian

  9. Who has access to these resources? • The teachers • The students • ETIP • KIS staff

  10. Are there any restrictions to access? • School district policies • Time • Scheduling • Location (KUSD)

  11. Who is available to assist technology users? • Technical assistance or other teachers that are knowledgeable (on site: George Jones and/or Chris Merrian) 

  12. Who can help with procedural and administrative issues? • KIS principal • Teachers • Secretary

  13. What instructional resources do I need? What does the person I mentor need? What might their students need? • Supports and understanding the statestandards, curriculum guidelines, hard and software resources, standardized assessments; Discuss the patterns of students’ academic development.
