  2. Introduction • I am planning to buy an apartment in a nice, warm area, near a beach and a city, or even in a city. I plan to have a roommate to reduce prices, and I want to find an affordable house.

  3. My Apartment Choice

  4. Apartment I Picked • I chose an apartment in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is a two bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment, unfurnished. It has a 6-month lease plan, which is not to long if I want to leave. I will not have to pay utility fees for gas or water which is a bonus. It is a relaxing, beautiful neighborhood in Hawaii. It is very close to the ocean, and has a balcony overlooking Honolulu.

  6. Plan to afford Apartment To pay for the apartment, I will first make sure to have a decent amount of money saved up. I will make sure I have money I can spend right away on the security deposit ($1345, but me and my roommate are splitting the costs). Gas & water utilities are already supplied by the apartment, and I’d only have to pay for electricity. For rent, I will use money I make at my job, rent being the first thing my earnings go towards (after taxes).

  7. Roommate • I will have one roommate with me, and we will split all of the costs (including cable) in half. This will make everything much more affordable for my budget. We will stay roommates for at least the next year or two.

  8. Furnishings • I will get a nice couch, some comfy chairs, a big screen, a table for eating on with some chairs, a computer with a desk and a spin chair, a glass coffee table and two beds. We also will get some real nice deck furniture for our balcony.

  9. Responsible • I will be a responsible tenant by not being reckless, not throwing big parties, having pets, and by respecting the apartment building. I will also make sure to pay on time and do what I am supposed to do according to the contract.
