Give precise information. • The part n°8 isvery important for the good working of the steering. • If thisbearingis out of order, the steeringwheelwillbe hard to rotate and someclangswillappearwhenturning the wheels. • The shock absorber must slow down oscillations and vibrations of the suspension system to keepwheels in contact with the ground. • A vehiculewithshockabsorbers out of orderwon’tstay in line on the road and willbeuncomfortable.

  3. 3- When replacing front shock absorbers, I must pay attention to… • I musn’tunscrew the top shock absorber central screw on the car.(under the bonnet). • It’sverydangerous for the méchanics and canbe dommageable for the car’swing. The springcanjump. So take care, don’t confuse with fixing screw! And read the manufacturer’s notice! • When putting back new shockabsorbers, i must pay attention to the torque value of differentsscrews. • Screws fixing shockabsorbers on suspension arms….verybig torque about 100nm. • Screws fixing shockabsorbers on the wheelpathunder the bonnet…little torque about 2 or3 nm.
