EXEMPLO: VIAS AEREAS Avaliação Inicial ao Politraumatizado • Consiste em Exame Primário rápido voltado a identificação das lesões que ameaçam a vida. • O exame primário deve ser feito em não mais de 5 a 10 minutos e é conduzido de acordo com o mnemônico ABCDE do trauma (ATLS): • A (Airway) – Vias aéreas + proteção da coluna cervical • B (Breathing) – Respiração e ventilação • C (Circulation) – Circulação com controle da hemorragia • D (Disability) – Incapacidade, estado neurológico • E (Exposure) – Exposição com controle do ambiente • Só se passa para o próximo passo após o anterior ter sido completamente resolvido.
