  2. Coming Events • Swim suit try on • Monday and Tuesday • Must try on suit with underwear or swim suit underneath • Must be dry • Meet sign up • PRO (Penn) • Everyone should go • Munster • Suggested for returning swimmers in training groups • Stay overnight Saturday

  3. Meet Notes • You Must Be On Time (15 minutes early) to warm-ups at a meet. When sign-in sheets are taken down there is no way to get the swimmer back into the meet. • We need everyone to be in a team cap and suit for every meet. • When there is a deadline on the website for signing up for a meet it is final. We will not be able to get someone into a meet after the deadline.

  4. Mock meet • Team Function – Everyone should come • Last Saturday in October • A meet just for Blue Wave Aquatic Swimmers • There will be parents in the stands helping parents who have questions as well as older swimmers helping the little ones find their heat and lanes.

  5. Travel Meets vs Home Meets • Travel Meets expect to spend more money. • Hotel • Admission • Gas • Higher meet entry fees • Travel meets are usually fuller with more of a variety of teams. • Muster – Olympic trial qualifiers/chicago teams • FWA – Fort Wayne and Ohio teams • FWA is a Prelims/Finals meet • What does that mean?

So which meets should my child go to? • It is suggested that our developmental swimmers • White • Red • Blue • Will go to the meets that are around here. • White group my only do a couple of events Saturday of IMX because all the long events are on Saturday. • Bronze it is suggested they try to make at least one day of a travel meet to get that experience. • Silver group has their pick of meets, but it is suggested that they go to the travel meets especially FWA because of the prelims/finals format

Checking the website • http://www.bwacswim.org/Home.jsp?team=inbwac • You should have received an e-mail with instructions on how to enter the website • You should check this every week • Newsletters should start by the end of next week on topics related to swimming. Some of the topics will include what to expect at you first meet, nutritional information, goal setting, etc.

Additional Notes • Club Caps • $5 Please ask at the beginning or the end of your practice • Payment Box • If you do not want your payment lost, please put it in the payment box it is grey and on the window ledge to the office in the pool area. • Meet Fees • Must be paid before the meet. • There is no refund on these meet fees as our club does not get a refund.

  9. Additional Notes • You must wear appropriate attire around the school • Shoes • Shirts • Shorts and pants • In the winter, we expect something to be worn on wet heads leaving the school. • BIRTH CERTIFICATES • End of season meets-Next Parent Meeting
