Getting Started • Visit Gmail.com and click the ‘Create an Account’ • Select an email address that easy to read and remember • Use a strong password and security question • You will need a cell phone number to activate and confirm your gmail account Public Computer Center at Moore Memorial Library | Greene, NY

  5. Your Gmail Inbox Your mailbox will be the first thing you see and is where all your emails arrive. Click ‘Mail’ or ‘Inbox’ to get back any time Click ‘Sent Mail’ to view any sent messages Click ‘Drafts’ to view your saved messages Remember to empty your ‘Spam’ or ‘Trash’ Public Computer Center at Moore Memorial Library | Greene, NY

  7. Delete, Move, and Star Click ‘Delete’ to trash any unwanted email. Click ‘Report Spam’ if it’s junk mail. Click to star an email. Click ‘Starred’ to view only those emails you’ve starred. First, click the checkbox to select an email Organize your emails: Click ‘Move to’ and choose a folder, or click to create a new one. You can also move emails to the trash or spam folder.   11. Read an Email Click to ‘Archive’ (save), ‘ReportSpam’ (mark as junk) or ‘Delete’ this email Click to reply to this email Click ‘Download’. Click to reply or forward to a friend.
