Fifteen countrywide stripe rust epidemics have been recorded since 1950, and losses of 6.0, 3.2, 1.8 and 1.3 million metric tons of wheat occurred in 1950, 1964, 1990 and 2002, respectively. A significant correlation was found between FDS and AUDPC (r= 0.91-0.98).
