Be an Example • Best way to disciple is to live out Jesus’s teaching in your life • 1 Timothy 4:12 • “Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” • Do not let the fact that you are young stop you from living out your faith.

  8. Backed by the Bible • 2 Timothy 3:16-17 • “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

  9. Filled with prayer • James 5:16 • “Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.”

  10. Life/Peace vs. Sin/Death • “The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.” -Romans 8:6 • Colossians 3:5: • “Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry.” • Colossians 3:12: • “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.”

  11. Evangelism • Romans 10: 14 • “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” • Mark 15:16 • “And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.’”
