  2. Sentence Types A telling sentence makes a statement. It ends with a period. Gary sat in a chair.

  4. Sentence Types A command tells someone to do something. It ends with a period or an exclamation point. Sit down on the grass. Stop right there!

  5. Sentence Types An exclamation shows strong feelings. It ends with an exclamation point. That’s great!

  6. Sentence Types Good writers use different sentence types in their writing. Different sentence types will give writing a better flow. Remember!
