Both Delivered People Out Of Bondage • Moses delivered Israel from slavery in Egypt, and Jesus delivers us from slavery in sin • Why do we need deliverance? - Rom. 3:23; 6:23 • How does Jesus provide this deliverance? - 1 Cor. 15:1-3 • Just as the Jews looked to Moses as their deliverer, we look to Jesus as our deliverer - Gal. 1:3-4

Both Gave A Law • Moses revealed God's law to Israel and Jesus reveals God's law to us • Jesus is God's spokesman for us today - Matt. 11:27; Heb 1:1-2 • Just as God gave the law through Moses, so grace and truth are given to us through Christ - Jn. 1:17 • Hence, some claim that we're not under any law today but under grace - 1 Cor. 9:21; Gal. 6:2

Both Built A House For The Lord • Moses built the tabernacle for Israel and Jesus built the church for us • Jesus promised to do just this - Matt. 16:18 • What was the price? - Exo. 35:4-5, 36:3-7; Acts 20:28 • Just as the tabernacle was important to the Jews, the church should be important to us because it's the spiritual body of Christ - Eph. 1:22-23

Both Led God's People On Their Journey • Moses guided the Israelites to the Promised Land, and Jesus will guide those who follow Him to heaven • God’s way are specific - Exo. 13:17; Matt. 7:13-14 • Just as the people of Israel were to follow Moses to make it to Canaan, we must follow the leadership of Jesus Christ to receive eternal life - Jn. 10:27-28 • The end result of following the guidance of Jesus is an eternal inheritance in heaven - 1 Pet. 1:3-5
