ELA Common Core State Standards • They are divided into 3 main sections: • 1 comprehensive K-5 section • 1 content area-specific section for 6-12 ELA • 1 content area-specific section for 6-12 history/social studies, science and technical studies • 3 Appendices accompany the main document • A-Research supporting key elements in the standards and a Glossary of Terms • B-Text Exemplars and Sample Performance Tasks • C-Samples of Student Writing
