  1. Strategic Prevention Framework - Partnerships for Success InitiativeCompleting Your Community Readiness Approach Proposal(s)

  2. Objectives • To provide detailed guidance on creating and submitting one or more community readiness approach proposals • To preview the Qualtrics web-based submission system.

  3. General Background • With the CRA Approach Proposal process, you will practice key skills: • Being able to summarize your CRA results • Being able to clearly explain your proposed approach • Being able to link your proposed approach to changes in your community’s readiness • The SEOW will review your proposed CR approach(es) and provide constructive feedback.

  4. Step 1: Know Your Timeline • For review by the SEOW on October 13, 2017: submit your CRA Approach Proposal(s) into the Ohio University Qualtrics system by September 29, 2017. • Submissions after September 29, 2017 will be reviewed at the next scheduled SEOW meeting (the SEOW meets monthly). • You will receive a draft synthesis report summarizing the information you submit into the Qualtrics system. • You will need to review the report and notify OSET of any issues or corrections as soon as possible. • Once your proposal report is finalized, you will need to submit the final version to the SEOW, your local evaluator, your OCAM coach, and to Dawn Thomas at OhioMHAS.

  5. Step 2: Gather Materials • To be successful, you will need four things: • This webinar. • The guidance document that was emailed to you on September 22, 2017. • The paper CRA Approach Proposal Form you received at the September 6, 2017 learning community. • The Qualtrics link for your community.

  6. Step 3: Prepare Your Approach Proposals • Please plan to write your proposals using Microsoft Word (or your word processing package) prior to upload! • You are practicing skills and creating summaries of complex CR data. • You are writing extended answers to each prompt. • Your coalition, colleagues, your OCAM coach, and your OSET evaluator all are available to review drafts and provide guidance.

  7. Step 4: Log into the Qualtrics System • After you have completed your approach proposal(s) and you are satisfied with the text, you are ready to submit. • Click directly on the web link in the email you received from the OSET team. • This is a community-specific link. • You may submit using this web form once before the link closes and has to be reset by the OSET team. • Because of the programming of certain questions, you may not be able to use the back button to go back and edit responses, so please avoid clicking through the web form to explore it. • Each PD will get a unique link. It is essential that you refer to the link in the email that you received from the OSET team. • You will not need a username or password. • If you have difficulty accessing the Qualtrics system, please contact Holly Craycraft (craycraf@ohio.edu)

  12. Step 6: Receive and Review Your Report • OSET will compile your information into a standardized, formatted report. • You will receive a report to review generally within 3-5 business days of the time you submit. • We will do our best to turn the report around sooner. • Please review this report as soon as possible and notify your OSET evaluator and Holly Craycraft if edits or changes are needed. • If you have changes, please be ready with specifics about what needs to change.

  13. Step 7: Submit to the SEOW • Once you have finalized your CRA Approach Proposal report you are ready to submit it to the SEOW. • Please submit your report by email to Ohio.SEOW.PFS.Workgroup@gmail.com • Please CC the following people on your submission: • your OSET Evaluator, • the lead evaluator (raffle@ohio.edu) • the project lead Dawn Thomas (Dawn.Thomas@mha.ohio.gov)

  14. Step 8: The SEOW Review Process • After submission, your materials will be reviewed by the SEOW at the next regularly scheduled monthly meeting. • Depending on when you submit, the review process may take up to three weeks. • The SEOW will provide constructive feedback (not approval!) that will help you refine and improve your work. • Feedback will be shared in 1-2 weeks following the meeting (sooner if possible)
