  3. Habitat • When we think of “home” we think indoors • Unlike our homes, an animal’s habitat is outdoors and includes: • Food source • Water source • Shelter • Space

  4. How do we find out what habitat an animal uses? • Direct observation • Listening • bird calls • Evidence of animals • dens, tracks, scats • Electrofishing • Radio telemetry
