Completing Surveys: What is Quality Control? • You want to feel confident about your data! • Your data is only as good as what you collect • Garbage in, Garbage out… • Quality control means you take all the steps needed to have high quality data • All survey questions/items are complete and clearly marked • You watch over how surveys are filled out in the field

  3. Data Collections Guidelines • Surveyors to circle the number (code) on the forms, not the text • All questions and table cells should be filled out • Even when condition is not present, “0” for NO should be circled • Please read Data Collection Guidelines in your manual

  4. Examples of Questions and how to complete • No/Yes: 1 - Yes 0 - No • Scales: • Ranges: 0 1-2 3-5 6-9 10 +

  5. Examples of Questions and how to complete • Be sure to circle one of the choices in each white box space for size and types of ads. If there are no ads of that size or type, circle "0" for none.
