  1. Session 7: Biodiesel and SVO – Recommendations for Plan of Action • Develop national and regional policies and appropriate financing tools to ensure that Biodiesel and SVO development (small and large scale) contributes to economic development and improvement of living conditions • Exploit the benefits offered by Biodiesel and SVO for development at village level AND by agro-industrial development through national consumption and export into international markets for energy products • Assess social and environmental impact of Biodiesel and SVO development • Perform R&D on plant species, agro-industrial techniques, land use and land availability to maximise the benefits from the biofuels value chain • Create Centres of Excellence and produce dissemination material and databases for sharing existing knowledge (on crops, yields, available technologies etc.)
