Aim of IPS of Latvia • Promote better integration and communication between the pharmacists in industry and in other sectors • Expand the role of pharmacists within the industry • Promote high standards of education and professional training relevant to the needs of industrial pharmacy • Inform the Society of issues to impact on industrial pharmacy • Promote the professional contribution of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry

  4. IPS Latvia Activities 2006 • Founding of IPS rised big disscussion in internet • Registered 16 members • Organised 5 meetings; disscussed about rules, aim and main purposes of IPS • 4 publications in pharmacy journal “Materia medica”, regulary info to members by e-mail

IPS Latvia Activities 2007 • Changing of experience in local drug producer “Olainfarm” • Career days for students • 2 meetings, more info to members by e-mail • Information about IPS activities in pharmacy journal and web site • Planning goals and election of IPS head for next two years Meeting in Olainfarm June, 2007 Meeting of IPS members Sept, 2007

  6. IPS Latvia Activities 2007 • Participation in GA of EIPG in Prague; Latvia IPS stayed member of EIPG • Participation in the 67th International FIP Congress in Beijing Members of EIPG GA in Prague 14-15 Apr IPS in FIP Congress in Beijing 31 Aug-6 Sept

IPS Latvia Activities 2008 • Registered 31 member (status 20.10.08) and some supporters • Changing of experience in local drug producer “Grindex”, March 11 • Participation in GA EIPG Malta, Apr 18-19 • Issued new IPS electronical bulletin for members (already 4 numbers) • Participation in the 68th International FIP Congress 2008 in Basel, Aug 29- Sep 4 • Change of experience in SIA Tamro September 9 • Bureau meeting of EIPG, London Oct 11 • Other informative seminars (SIA Briz in Nov, 2008 etc.)
