CMS Detector Tools Development: HV Monitoring & Run Summary Enhancement

We are developing CMS Detector-specific tools within WBM for monitoring HV behavior, run-related information, and remote access to DCS variables. Plans include extending HV diagnosis capabilities, mirroring HV tools to LV, and adding trigger variables monitoring. Further improvements will involve additional condition variables in run summaries, potential DQM plot integration, summary views, and documentation writing.

  1. DT specific tools We are developing DT-specific tools within WBM (*) Currently: DT run summary: Run-related OMDS information (Run config, DCS status, ROS/ROB…) Tool to debug HV behaviour: 48h HV status summary Monitoring of Vcon errors (*) Reminder: Official CMS tool for remote (read-only) access, retrieving and monitoring of DCS variables (or any other info stored in omds)

  2. What’s next Plans: • Extend HV diagnosis capabilities, so we can use the tool as long term behaviour monitor of our chambers. • Mirror HV tools to LV. • Inclusion of trigger variables monitoring. • Further condition variables to be added to run summary (summaries, errors etc). • Possible addition of DQM plots in RunSummary (That would make shifters’ life easier) • Summary views to be included. • Write documentation.
