  6. 1644-1911Qing Dynasty Downfall • The people didn’t like the Qing dynasty ruling so the court tried to make them happy. TheWesternization Movement, the Reform Movement of 1898 and the Taiping Rebellion were the most influential ones but they all failed. The Qing dynasty continued to fall apart. Finally the revolution of 1911 led by Yat-sen broke out and the Qing dynasty came to an end.
