  1. Rotated ICRF Antenna Commissioning • Presented by S.J. Wukitch • Goal: • Seek to commission and characterize the rotated 4-strap ICRF antenna voltage and power limits. • Background: • A new rotated ICRF antenna is to be installed in the near future. • Aligning the antenna with the total magnetic field decreased the available area to couple power to the plasma. • Power density at 2 MW (3MW) is 9.8 MW/m2 (14.8 MW/m2)

Rotated ICRF Antenna Commissioning • Primary Tools: • Rotated ICRF antenna and D/E antennas. • Impurity gas seeding. • Experimental Plan: • Determine voltage and power limits for L and H-mode plasmas. • USN discharges to remain in L-mode. • Scan plasma current to evaluate dependence of the alignment of the antenna to the total magnetic field. • Investigate EDA H-modes with gas seeding to investigate influence on voltage and power limits compared with D/E antennas.
