  2. Graduation Info Session Agenda

  3. Info Session Objectives Build awareness about the new graduation requirements. 1. Create a community-wide sense of urgency around the needs of our students and our schools. 2. Engage family and community members as key partners in promoting student success and on-time graduation. 3. Preview the Personal Graduation Plan and discuss the purpose of the upcoming Grad Forums. 4.

  4. Introduction and Overview • PPSD is committed to preparing all students for success in their chosen colleges and careers. • Beginning with the Class of 2014, students must score a level 2 or higher on NECAP in order to graduate. Despite our best efforts, we are falling short of our goal. The Situation • Close to 65% of the Class of 2014 may be in jeopardy of not graduating on time. • We must work quickly to prepare our juniors for graduation, while also building awareness among all of our students. The Challenge • There is good news—we have invested in programs and interventions to support our students through graduation. • We must work together to ensure that our students graduate college- and career-ready. Everyone must be part of the solution—students, families, community members and educators. The Opportunity
