  1. DISQUALIFICATIONS IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD: Text: I Corinthians 6:9-11 There 3 surprises in Heaven Those whom you think that will be there are not there. Those whom you expect not to be there, are there. Worst surprise is, if your name is not there.

  2. AIM: • For us to not be deceived when the bible tells us, “THE UNRIGTEOUS SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD”. I. LET’S TAKE A LOOK ONE BY ONE THE DISQUALIFICATIONS: • The unrighteous-v 9 • Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: • Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; • Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

  3. 2. Fornicators-sexual relationship between a single woman and a single man 3. Idolaters-worshipping other gods 4. Adulterers-either the man or the woman is married or both 5. Homosexuals-relating to, or having sexual orientation of the same sex 6. Sodomites-Any of various forms of sexual intercourse held to be unnatural or abnormal 7. Thieves 8. Covetous-A covetous person has a strong desire to possess something, especially something that belongs to another person.

  4. 8. Drunkards-a person who is frequently or habitually drunk • 1Pe 4:3 For we [have spent] enough of our past lifetime [fn] in doing the will of the Gentiles--when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. 9. Revilers-To use abusive language 10. Extortioners- Illegal use of one's official position or powers to obtain property, funds 11. Lewdness- Preoccupied with sex and sexual desire; lustful

  5. 12. Sorcery-Use of supernatural power over others through the assistance of spirits; witchcraft 13. Hatred-extreme dislike or antipathy -strong hostility or opposition toward somebody or something • 1Jo 3:15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 14. Contentions-a point advanced or maintained in a debate or argument. • Hebrews 12:14Pursue peace with all [people], and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

  6. 15. Jealousies- Resentful or bitter in rivalry; envious: 16. Outburst of wrath • Jam 1:19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; • Jam 1:20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. 17. Selfish ambitions • Phil 2:3 [Let] nothing [be done] through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

  7. 18. Dissension- a difference of opinion; disagreement or, esp., discord as expressed in intense quarrelling or wrangling, as within a group 19. Heresy- A person who holds controversial opinions, especially one who publicly dissents from the truth. 20. Envy • Pro 14:30 A sound heart [is] life to the body, But envy [is] rottenness to the bones 21. Revelries- is people enjoying themselves in a noisy way, often while they are drunk

  8. 22. And the like II. THE GRACE OF GOD-V 11 • And such were some of you • But you were washed • Yu were sanctified • You were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. III. EXTREME WARNING OR PRECAUTION • DO NOT BE DECEIVED • THOSE WHO PRACTICE SUCH SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD -V 10; Gal 5:21 • Do not think or believe because you go to church, you go to heaven.

  9. Do not be deceived because you believed and have accepted the Lord Jesus you go to heaven. • When He comes back, He is no longer a Saviour but a Judge. IV. THERE IS NO CONDEMNATION -Romans 8:1 • Rom 7:20 Now if I do what I will not [to do], it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. • Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? • Rom 7:25 I thank God--through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

  10. Rom 8:1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. • 1Pe 4:17 For the time [has come] for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if [it begins] with us first, what will [be] the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? • 1Pe 4:18 Now "If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?

  11. V. REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND-Matthew 4:17 • Mat 3:10 "And even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. • The Ninivites were saved when they repent • Ahab was spared when he repent • 1Ki 21:25 But there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the LORD, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up.

  12. 1Ki 21:27 So it was, when Ahab heard those words, that he tore his clothes and put sackcloth on his body, and fasted and lay in sackcloth, and went about mourning. • 1Ki 21:28 And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, • 1Ki 21:29 "See how Ahab has humbled himself before Me? Because he has humbled himself before Me, I will not bring the calamity in his days. In the days of his son I will bring the calamity on his house."

  13. CHALLENGE: • Will you just ignore God’s Word today and go to hell? CONCLUSION: 1Cr 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 1Cr 6:10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
