Psalm 44:1-3 – overriding theme: God is Sovereign He moves among the nations

“He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others” (Daniel 2:21, Rom. 13:1-5).

“The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes.” (Proverbs 21:1)

His works in your life – salvation, answered prayers, opportunities to serve

His works in American history * Gov. William Bradford, Mayflower Compact* Preamble to the Declaration of Independence“Great are His works; they are studied by all who delight in them” (Psalm 111:2).

But How Does He Work?

A) For Those Who Wait on Him

“God works for those who wait for him” (Isaiah 64:4).

B) He Builds Homes - “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain” (Psalm 127:1).

C) He Gives Growth -“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” (1 Corinthians 3:6–7)
