Reputation comes to your mind • When I say Paul, what comes to your mind? • When I say Peter, what comes to your mind? • When I say Barnabus, what comes to your mind? • When I say Dorcas, what comes to your mind? • When I say John, what comes to your mind? • When I say member of the church, what comes to your mind?
It did for Ananias • (Acts 9:13-14 NKJV) Then Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem. {14} "And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name."

How do we get a reputation? • “Even a child is known by his doing.” • Our reputations are gained by our doings. • Are we doing things that will cause others to be drawn to us? • Will we have a good influence on: • Our children and grand children. • Those who know us in the community.

Reputation can be critical • (Luke 17:1 NKJV) Then He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come. {2} "It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

What God wants of us: • (Mat 5:14-15 NKJV) "You are the light of the world. We should be known for love • (John 13:35 NKJV) "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Generosity is Important • (2 Cor 8:1-5 NKJV) {4} imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. {5} And not only as we had hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God.
