  1. Math We will be taking a school interim assessment in math this week and we will hope to bring our fraction unit to an end sometime next week. Our video of the students teaching math targets is going really well. The hope is that this will push the students into higher levels of thinking and they will gain confidence about explaining their work. Reading We will work on modeling constructed response items. We are still studying informational text. We will be examining expository fiction and focusing on main idea and detail, and the skill of summarizing as well. Spelling For spelling we will actually be learning prefixes and Their meanings, along with words they help form. Announcements I would like to have parents who have math-related jobs visit our class. I want the students to see how you use math they are learning in real life situations. If you can present for us, please contact me at 498-6932 or text 585 1636.
