  5. 行前準備 • VISA、I-20 • 旅支、現金 • 存款證明 • 國際駕照 • 畢業證書，學歷證明 • 入學許可 • 健康檢查記錄 • 證照相片檔案 • 聯絡名單 • 各種資料備份

  6. 需帶物品 • 國際線飛機的行李限制：拖運行李兩件，30kg是絕對上限 • 電腦類：延長線（3孔）、無線網卡、網路線 • 食：保溫杯、幾天份的食物、（電鍋、熱水壺）、（各式茶包、蜜餞） • 衣：室內拖鞋、泳衣、一套正式服裝、（女生）髮飾、針線包、皮尺、旅行用盥洗用具、牙刷、牙膏

  8. 打包行李的訣竅 • 重量平均分攤（每件32公斤） • 超重比多帶一件更貴喔！ • 易碎物品以衣服包裹 • 秤重時，可先站在體重計上再拿行李

  9. 接機事宜 • 行前：準備接機學長姐的電話（要問清楚是家裡還是手機的）、確定學長姐的車夠大、是否方便帶你逛UT、Austin、看房子跟辦手續、準備停車費（每小時四元，半小時內免費）

  10. 抵達短期住宿地點後 • 準備學長姐的聯絡方式、及備份鑰匙 • 詢問學長姐暫住處所需注意事項、shuttle路線 • 保持學長姐家中原來狀況 • 盡量使用自己的盥洗用具 • 跟學長姐出去買東西時，先約好集合時間 • 採購清單及數量（電話、燈具、碗盤、鍋子、毛巾、沐浴用品等） • 有時候學長姐可能無法帶新生去採買，請新生體諒學長姐的難處。
