  2. Where Pandas Live • They live alone when they are adults. • They live in China, and Myanmar and Nepal. • They live in bamboo forests.

  3. What They Eat • They will eat sixteen hours a day. • They eat forty pounds of bamboo per day. • They eat grain, fruits, and vegetables.

  4. Giant Panda • They eat 23-36 pounds of bamboo. • They have unusually thin and heavy bones for their size. • They are very flexible and like to do somersaults. • Bamboo makes 99 percent of their diet.

  5. Lesser Pandas • This mild mannered animal can defend it’s territory by standing on it’s hind legs and using it’s sharp claws to strike out if threatened. • They are definitely acrobatic tree dwellers. • Their tail provides great balance when walking along branches.

  6. Lesser • They breed in the season from January to April. • The Chinese name for them is hun-ho it means “fire fox”.
