  2. What Are Wetlands?? Today I will be talking about Wetlands. You are probably wondering, what are Wetlands anyway? Well here is what wetlands are for those wondering. Wetlands are a link between land and water, and are some of the most productive ecosystems in the world. Some common names for different types of wetlands are swamps, marsh and bog. Some people think Wetlands are grotesquebut they are not if you keep them clean.

  3. Saltwater Or Freshwater There is either freshwater or saltwater in wetlands. Wetlands in the mountains are all freshwater and no saltwater. If their is a mix of both waters it is called brackish. I think that is singular that it is called brackish.

  4. Why are Wetlands important You may beperplexed about why wetlands are so important. Wetlands are important because they hold flood water during floods. Many people compare the wetlands to a sponge. Also when there is hurricanes the wetlands hold the water from the hurricanes. Without wetlands more water enters our rivers. Without wetlands I would have a terrible visage.

  5. What things live in Wetlands Another way that wetland environments are so important is because they are home to lots of plants and animals. They are a valuable and sublime habitat. Some animals that live there are beavers, reptiles, and fish. Wetland plants include fungi and seaweed. One reason I am melancholy when wetlands are dried is because you would be taking animals and plants home.

  6. Why are wetlands disappearing Wetlands are disappearing because humans want more farmland. People are moving wetlands away to have their beach house there but when there is hurricanes it ruins houses when wetlands could be holding the water from the hurricane. Since the wetlands are disappearing more water is going into rivers and oceans etc. and that is creating more floods.

  7. Ways to keep wetlands safe You need to abate to what I am telling you about wetlands being important so here are some ways to keep them protected. I understand we need farmland but put it somewhere else because you are taking wetlands from us. Another way is when people kill the beavers they will be taking Wetlands. Why I say this is beavers create Wetlands.
