  1. MUSIC MAGAZINE PRODUCTION JAKE GILL

  2. GENRE/SUB-GENRE • My music magazine will be along the lines of rock/pop music. However, in order to set apart my magazine from others I’m going to apply many different kinds of music in my magazine.

  3. AUDIENCE • My audience will mainly be for teenagers (15+). It will also appeal to young adults.

  4. NAME OF MAGAZINE • I have came up with a few names I like: • TEENAGE COLOUR • EDGE • BLEED • RAIN • DOWN

  5. TAGLINE • The tagline I have chosen to use is ‘YOUR MONTHLY DOSE OF MUSIC’.

  6. EDITORIAL MISSION STATEMENT • The ideology of my magazine is to help teenagers have a different view of music. It will hopefully make them acknowledge a variety of artists, bands etc. This will also be a great opportunity for promoting upcoming artists/bands.

  7. USP • My magazine will stand out from others because it will include a variety of music. It will attract a whole new audience and bring music together. Instead of buying a few different genres of magazines you can just buy one that has it all.

  8. READER PROFILE • The reader of my magazine is a typical teenager who is a student. He has a part time job. He subscribes to my magazine because its unique. He likes all kinds of music, so instead of having to buy a few different genres of magazines he could just buy one. In his leisure time he likes to skateboard, he also enjoys photography and art. His music taste crosses over, so hewill be able to identify with many different artists/bands. It is also a good opportunity for others trying out new music. He likes to read the album reviews before purchasing the music online so he will get a taste of what the music is like. He appreciates the pure slick style my magazine brings to the table. He also enjoys reading interviews, reviews and information on new upcoming bands/artists.

  9. IDEAS FOR FONT COVER • For my front cover I was thinking of having a simple head and shoulders shot. I may add some props and test with lighting. I want my front cover eccentric so it will jump out to people and potentially new readers. I like using the colours red, black and white.
