  2. Name of Drug • Street names: LSD, Acid, Loony toons, Microdots, Window panes, Sugar cubes, Trips • Brand name: Lysergic acid diethylamide • Chemical name: 9,10-Didehydro-N,N-diethyl-6-methylergoline-8ß-carboxamide

  3. What does it do? • LSD is a mood changing drug • Strongest hallucinogen known to man • 100 times stronger than hallucinogenic mushrooms • Causes hallucinogens during “trip” • Often experience bad trips • Starts in about 30 minutes and lasts around 12 hours

  4. Ways to Ingest • Tablets: Microdots • Gelatin Squares or Capsules: Window Panes • Absorbent Paper with cartoons drawn: Loony toons

  5. History • 1938 Chemist Albert Hofmann created drug • Sandoz Pharmaceutical • Looking for blood stimulant • 1943 Hofmann ingested some • US officially banned LSD in 1967
