  1. A Day in the Life of a 7th Grader

  2. YOUR LOCKER • You will be allowed at your locker 5 times a day: 1. Before homeroom 2. Before MORE 3. Before lunch 4. After lunch 5. At the end of the day • Before homeroom, get all the books and materials that you will need for Periods 1& 2 (that includes your gym clothes!)

  3. HOMEROOM • Go straight from your locker to homeroom. • Turn in all papers that need to go to the office. • Stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. • Listen to the announcements.

  4. Cycles (Periods 1 & 2) • Do not go to your locker! • Go straight to your 1st period class. • Don’t forget the school hallway procedures on your way to class.

  5. 3RD Period • After 2nd Period, go to your locker and get any materials you need for SSR or MORE. • Don’t forget your SSR book!

  6. Subject Area Classes Don’t be late to class! Update your agenda right away. Get right to work on your “Warm-up” Always have your SSR book with you in class.

  7. Subject Area Classes (continued) • If you need to use the bathroom: • Raise your hand to ask permission. • Fill out a pass. • Fill out the sign-out sheet. • Bring the pass to your teacher to sign.

  8. Subject Area Classes (continued) • At the end of class: • Don’t begin packing up until your teacher dismisses you. • Take a look around your area before you leave and make sure that it is clean and the desks are straight.

  9. Subject Area Classes (continued) • Other things to know: • There is NO gum chewing in any science class. • Once every 2 weeks, your teachers will give you 10-15 minutes to organize your binder.

  10. Lunch • After fifth period, go to your locker, get your lunch, and head to the cafeteria. • Don’t wait for your friends at their lockers! • After lunch, stop at your locker and get all the books and materials that you’ll need for the rest of the day.

  11. 7th Grade Discipline Policy • Ways to receive Disciplinary Action: • Disrespect a teacher • Disrespect a student • Fail to follow teacher instructions • Inappropriate language/behavior • Lateness to class

  12. 7th Grade Discipline Policy If you do not follow our classroom guidelines, you will receive a warning. If the behavior continues, you will receive a detention. You will receive a detention slip notifying your parent the reason for your detention. * If warnings occur in two different classes in the same day, two detentions will be issued.

  13. 7th Grade Discipline Policy • You must serve your detention within two days of receiving the slip. • You may serve your detention on Wednesday or Friday morning. You must arrive at 7:45 to 8:10am • You may also serve your detention on Tuesday or Thursday afternoon from 2:40 to 3:05pm. • If you do not show up to detention, you will be assigned one more detention. • If you do not show up to the second detention, your parents will be contacted.
