  2. Vision • Shultz left Starbucks when he found that their vision clashed with his, he took a couple of people with him and started his own coffee company. Eventually he bought Starbucks back and turned it into the coffee superstar it is • This illustrates transformational leadership because he was communicating, inspirational motivation, the company that he thought would be successful and pursued it.

  3. Employees • Starbucks was one of the first companies to offer benefits, amazing benefits!, to all of it’s employees • He created an environment that his employees could grow and develop and feel safe in

  4. Future • Shultz believes that Starbucks has so much more to offer. He wants to see full global expansion and to keep the brand relevant • He motivates his people to always think what more Starbucks can be doing and where else it can go

  5. WOW • Howard Shultz is a tranformational leader not only because he is the brain behind one of the biggest companies, but because he can see both the little and the small. He focuses on global expansion while also remembering the barista behind the counter. He believes in what he does and passes that belief on to his counterparts.
