  5. Stick Horse Math • Based on Non-fiction/Historical Fiction • Guest speakers/demonstrations • Internet research and writing activities • Measurement using stick horse ruler • Culminate in “Brigade Day” • Writing thank-you notes

  6. Mighty Mini Math • Based on fictional giants and small characters • Explore measurement problems • Make comparisons/Teach scale • Culminate with Mighty Mini Math Meal
