Building the Education Revolution

All schools in Sydney Region are receiving construction works as part of the B.E.R. program

If your school is receiving a new standard Library building, a complete Connected Classroom (IWB + VC) will be included – even if it’s your second Connected Classroom

If there is a new Library, the school’s Campus Distributor will be relocated to it. There is an existing procedure for this that schools should be aware of.

In total 31 new libraries are being built in Sydney Region

building the education revolution30
Building the Education Revolution

Building work will be occurring during the Summer holidays in some schools. With advanced notification, ITSU can liaise with AbiGroup during this time

If any DELL-installed IWBs need to be relocated, DELL must be contracted to do this work, not the builders

Where new building work impacts on existing cabling pathways, please notify Paul Clark ASAP

New construction can disrupt your existing school LAN

Planning for integrating the new work with the school LAN

my secret question times three
My Secret Question: Times Three

The Department has introduced a new password security process to keep your personal information safe and our networks secure

Some school students have been able to use their knowledge of the teachers in their school to guess a teacher’s password or secret answer

From December, you will be able to set three secret question & answer combinations, rather than just one

If you click “I forgot my password” you need to answer all three questions correctly.

activstudio licencing

The licence DET holds for ActivStudio and ActivPrimary ceases in March 2010

ALL PCs and Macs with these programs installed MUST UNINSTALL ActivStudio, ActivPrimary and ActivResources (unless the school has an ActivBoard)
