  4. ¿What is the AAC/MIS? • Founded in 1979 as a non-profit organization • A regional Inter-American Organizationrepresenting 55 member cooperatives and mutuals.. • Its members are to be found in 22 countries in North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean. • Its mission: Support and establish efficient and viable, people-based insurers in the Americas.
