Understanding Personal Characteristics Through Human Skeleton Examination

This lesson delves into how individual characteristics such as age, height, and race can be inferred by analyzing human bones. Students will describe various facial features that can distinguish different racial groups, and learn the significance of sutures and the epiphyseal plate in determining age and sex from a skeleton. Engaging activities, including sticky note exercises, will reinforce learning objectives. A quiz is scheduled for Thursday to assess comprehension of these concepts. Students will reflect on their understanding and identify areas needing support for the upcoming evaluation.
