  2. What They Wore  The ancient Egyptians wore linen garments. Women and dancers in court wore little clothing to keep cool and men often shaved their heads and wore  lightweight wigs. Men and women wore sandals or went barefoot.

  3.  Make Up  They wore lip paint as in modern day lip stick. It was made from organic items to produce its vibrant red color. The Egyptians also wore heavy eye paint or make up to accentuate their eyes.

  4. What They Ate Most people in ancient egypt ate bread, veggies, and beer. The upper classmen ate fish ,duck, cheese, and milk. Something To Think About: There was a lot more food choices for the upper classes. Why?

  5. Life The life of an ancient Egyptian was very different from ours. They cherished life and lived it to the fullest. Most of the Egyptians were slaves unlike us. They also inherited specialties from their parents like money and jobs. Most Egyptians' lives was wrapped around respect for the Pharaoh.

  6. After Life When the ancient Egyptians died they went through many tests to be able to enter the after life. One was "The Weighing of The Heart". Their heart was put on a scale with a feather of a creature that represented goodness. If they didn't pass the test they were eaten by a god that was a  mix of a lion, hippo, and crocodile.

  7. Women and Families Ancient Egyptian women had much more rights than any other ancient civilizations. They could own and operate their own land, and technically, the wives owned one third of their husband's land. Most young girls were taught by their mothers, but rich families hired wet nurses which were like modern day nannies. Most children were also illiterate. Girls married very young in their teenage years.

  8.  Facts About Culture The culture of the ancient Egyptians was some what different from ours because they only had three seasons: Akhet, Peret, and Shemu. Akhet was the flooding season, Peret is the season where they plant all their crops, and Shemu was the harvest season. They alsohad onlyten months in their calendar.Womenwere taught to fulfillhouse duties such ascooking and cleaning. Only men went to school. The ancient Egyptians also played a game similar to modern day baseball.
