  1. Mid-TermProject I: Chinese Culture Presentation • Topic: Any aspect of Chinese culture that intrigues you, such as Chinese language, Chinese food, costumes, arts & crafts, festivals, architecture, movies, martial arts, music, movie, education, geography, religion, and minorities, etc.

  2. Chinese Culture Presentation for Mid-Term • Chinese Culture Encounter: This cultural experience should be relevant to the topic of your presentation. • You could go to Chinese New Year Celebration, visit a museum or exhibition, dine in Chinese restaurant, go shopping in a local Chinese supermarket, watch a Chinese movie or TV show, interview Chinese native speakers, etc.

  3. Chinese Culture Presentation for Mid-Term Contents (at least five slides, 4-minute long) • Slide 1: Introduction • Slide 2: Comparison of the topic in the two cultures (Chinese and your own) • Slide 3: Your cultural experience relevant to the topic - Pictures or video clips of your cultural experience included

  4. Chinese Culture Presentation for Mid-Term • Slide 4: New Findings • Slide 5: Summary • General statement on the topic, what social and cultural implications it involves, and how it influences the use of the language. • Teach us one phrase or sentence you learned

Chinese Culture Presentation for Mid-Term ATTENTION! • The project can be done individually, by pairs or three-person group. • Presentation tools (PPT, Prezi, Movie Maker,etc.) • The project is due by March 12 midnight. • Upload your project in Assignments in Talonet • Present your project on March 18. (CHINESE NEW YEAR EVENTS ON FEB)
