  3. The "Roaring Twenties" • Use the Information Please dictionary to define “Roaring Twenties.” • Using the “Roaring Twenties” ThinkQuest site, describe six events of the 1920’s. Describe one event for each of the categories listed on the site. • What was the average cost of a car in 1925? Is this higher or lower than the price in 1908? This was because of what manufacturing development? • Who was responsible for the development mentioned above? Using Concise Encarta or Columbia Encyclopedia, give three facts about him.

On what date did the amendment become part of the U.S. Constitution? Why can we call Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton home state (NY) girls? • How did the role of women change in the 1920’s? Give three examples and describe them. • What were flappers? Describe what they looked like. Using Google Image Search, find an historical picture of flappers and print it out.
